The Day I Got Married

Hi everyone! How are you? Finally I have a little spare time, sit down and update my blog! Sorry for disappeared for almost 5 months! Let's move on to the moment you have all been waiting for my wedding post! After a long wait, I'm super excited to be sharing some my wedding photos with you. I know this is not a wedding blog, but this post is as much about two people who love each other and have been through the thick and thickest of things as it is about life, love, and happiness. Also I don't want to use this post to detail every single minute of the wedding, every single detail, etc. Because there are so many specific details and the commentary about each detail would turn that into one long and boring article. I'll be happy to share that with you privately if you interested though. =D So instead of describing every moment that occurred, I wanted to just tell you about my favorite moment of the day. It's a little belated considering I got married three months ago, but I would really love to share this special moment to you and apologize for sharing it not in time. Anyway it's better late than never, huh?!

After being together for 5 years, we decided to put on that white dress and gorgeous suit and walk down the aisle.

Marriage to me is so different than to a lot of people. Marriage is more spiritual than anything. It's more so about God than us. I was put here to love Jesus Christ, and to be His loving servant. My future husband pushes me into God's arms, and I'll try to do the same as his wife. Our goal as being married isn't just to have a nice home, and lovely children but to serve together in ministry, pray every day, love each other, travel together and fulfill God's plan for our lives. The thing that made me fall in love with him was he loves me more than I love myself and my oppa accepts me the way I am! I'd really love to hear from you on this one. What does marriage mean to you? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

From the time I decided to marry a Korean, my life has changed in many ways I didn't think possible. I have become stronger and I have learned how to be very careful who you let in on your glitches throughout life and I don't trust anyone blindly anymore. Not everyone you meet is your friend, and not everyone is meant to be in your life. Some friendships are toxic! I have also learned that there is no easy way to resolve our differences, but as long as we are both willing to work together, fully understand each other and accept the reality of being a multicultural couple, just like any other marriages that go through fire and water, we will overcome any difficulty.

Saturday, 19 November 2016 was the happiest day of my life. I married the love of my life, my soul mate, my best friend and the man I will spend the rest of my life with.
Invitation letter of my marriage.

The first time I tried on my wedding dress.

After trying on countless wedding dresses in every style imaginable, from ballgown to sheath, I finally found the one! I fell in love with the gown for the first look, stunning! It was a perfect fit.

My oppa will wear a simple black tuxedo jacket paired with black pants, a white shirt and a butterfly bow tie.

I took this photo while waiting for my husband. =)

We got married at a place called Western House Wedding in South Korea.
Getting married overseas has its logistical difficulties so we wanted to keep it quite simple.
We wanted our wedding to have a classic, elegant feeling and some unique touches.
Western House Wedding is one of my favourite wedding hall in South Korea. It's got a beautiful indoor area and it provided the perfect picturesque location for our reception.
We planned our entire wedding in under a month. We didn't want to have a huge party and spend a lot of money. We just wanted it to be honest and real.
Flowers were one of the most important aspects of my wedding.
This is the traditional Korean ceremony called Pyebaek (폐백). In Korea, most couples do pyebaek after their wedding ceremony whether they have a modern wedding or a traditional wedding ceremony.

Sorry I can't show all of the photos. But, here are some my pre-wedding photos with my fiance!

Our adorable wedding table decorations.

My wedding makeup.

My makeup really was flawless and stayed perfect for the whole day. The colour of their lipsticks are so outstanding!

Nail art for my wedding. So cute!

I take a few selfies with my sister.

My wedding bouquet. It's all colorful and beautiful flowers.

My fiance has surprised me with flowers at our wedding ceremony.

My bridal shoes. I purchased a pair of Nine West shoes for my wedding and they were worth every cent.

One of my dreams has always been for my dad to walk me down the aisle.

I was so happy that I chose K-Will for our special ceremony music.

He sings a song for us.

He was our MC that night and he did an amazing job at our wedding!

We wrote our own vows and read them to each other a few days before the wedding ceremony.

Our wedding rings.

I take you Christin to be my wife. I will cherish our friendship, and love you today, tomorrow, and forever. I will trust you and honor you. I will laugh with you, and cry with you. I will love you faithfully, through the best and the worst, and through the difficult and the easy. What may come, I will always be there. As I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you my life to keep.

On this day, I give you my heart, my promise, that I will walk with you, hand in hand, wherever our journey leads us, living, learning, loving, together, forever.

We cut our cake right after the ceremony.

Some of my moments with my family.

With my mom and dad. Thank you for always being there, without you, I would not be the person I am today.

We had some wine, laughed, had photos taken and made plenty of beautiful memories. I really love how the time we gather together just for celebrating the love and happiness together. Nothing matters more than this right?

With my future husband's family.

I was so happy to take family pictures of my God-Mother and witnesses of my marriage.

It's one of my favorite photos in the entire wedding album.

After the ceremony and the champagne, we walked down the restaurant with our families, and were greeted by friends who wished us well and said our ceremony was beautiful.

The second floor dining room at Western House Wedding Hall.

We both felt happy because we knew we'd done all the planning details and now could enjoy our day. Our families came around us and supported us more than we could have imagined.

I love the beautiful gift you got for me. Thank you for the thoughtful present. Can't describe how thankful I am to have you guys in my life and thank you for all the wishes from you guys! Sorry that I can't reply you guys one by one, but I've read all of them for sure.
