My oppa and I went out to the D-Cube City Department Store (디큐브시티) for dinner. We stumbled across this Korean restaurant after shopping at the D-Cube City Department Store. One of the most famous Boribab restaurant franchises is Sawole Boribab (사월에보리밥).
Coming to the ambiance I have to say it's quite neat and modern and the aura was very gloomy yet comfortable. Absolutely busy but looks promising and quite difficult to get a table since it has a best location and its always busy with people. The space is huge and spacious, so you will not smell like fish or anything when you come or leave.
The menu has a lot of delicious dishes and very authentic Korean restaurant, so don't be afraid to ask for help if you're not sure what to order. You could try anything on the menu, it's hard to go wrong here.
If you want good Korean cuisine for a good price, I would definitely recommend coming here. The place can be hard to miss, a huge space with a sign in Korean characters.
It's such a nice view from this place, and the interior is comforting. The staff were polite, attentive, and the service was quick.
For our dinner my Oppa and I ordered the Boribab / Rice and Barley with Vegetables (현미곤드레보리밥) and Godeungeo-Gui / Grilled Mackerel (고등어구이정식). We shared boribab and grilled mackerel, which was pretty solid from the look and amazing smell of it. Overall, food I can say worth for money!
It's placed in a large bowl and a selection of banchan is provided. Boribap is essentially a dish of steamed rice and barley that is often served with doenjang jjigae and assorted banchan (side dishes). If you are looking for healthy food, look no further. This place is a great place to take adults because boribab is not only healthy but this restaurant makes it yummy as well.
Doenjang Jjigae is amazing when the weather's cold. Doenjang jjigae is a variety of jjigae or stew-like Korean traditional dish, made with Korean soybean paste and available ingredients such as vegetables, mushrooms, seafood, or tofu.
The side dishes (banchan) served were fresh and very tasty. Korean side dishes is definitely not to be missed in every Korean meal dining and well balanced.
Godeungeo-Gui is a grilled mackerel dish. Mackerel that is fried with a little salt is enormously popular in Korean cuisine. Mackerel was seasoned and grilled perfectly to my taste buds, and the fish was freshly prepared, but did not have a fishy smell. The Godeungeo-Gui is by far my favorite thing on that menu. Try this delicious and healthy Korean food someday.
