Chrysanthemum Korean Ice Cream

I crave ice cream every single evening. Does anyone know why? Hahah.
Today I went to a convenience store near my home, and I bought an ice cream.
I'll be writing to you about my favorite korean ice creams Gukhwappang (국화빵). Chrysanthemum cake ice cream (국화빵) is essentially identical Bungeoppang, only it is a flower-shaped pastry. Bungeoppang (붕어빵), the popular Korean street snack. Bungeoppang is made like waffles in the shape of a fish and is filled with red bean.

This is what it looks like on the outside!
This ice cream is sometimes called the Chrysanthemum cake ice cream to foreigners (non Korean speakers). This ice cream is filled with more typically Korean flavors. This was my first time having it but I found that I like it as it has a crunchy texture, and it is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. This is an awesome snack to try for those who with a penchant for sweats and want a quick snack to eat. You can find Gukhwappang at any market or any convenience store. I bought it for 1,500 Won.

Once you take a bite you’ll love it! The ice cream has a wafer thin layer outside and inside it, has vanilla ice cream with a red bean filling.
The ice cream layer inside is thick and soft, a good creamy vanilla, not the cheap icy vanilla some brands use.
The red bean layer is covered on one side and is overall an even thin layer with a great sweet flavor and typical paste texture. This ice cream is really nice and I think the best part about it is the vanilla ice cream. If you enjoy red bean treats you will most likely enjoy this ice cream with the vanilla ice cream as a fast snack, and if you are looking for a red bean treat to try this is a nice starter since the layer is sweet and thin in this product!

I want to thank you so much for reading my blog, this means a lot to me! See you in another post! =)
