Rose Hill Korean Restaurant

Oppa and I were looking for a place to grab dinner that wasn't too greasy, fresh, and healthy. On such a cold winter day, it was refreshing to eat a delicious food, so we wanted some warm soup to cleanse our mind and soul.
I went yesterday with my Oppa to Rose Hill (로즈힐) Restaurant at Hyundai Department Store (현대백화점). We had dinner Korean food and I was very excited. =)
This is very famous restaurant at Hyundai Department Store area. This restaurant was famous for Galbitang (갈비탕) restaurant.
We had some trouble finding this place. It's right near the intersection, so it is kind of hidden in that little corner.

This place is nice and offers a lot of different kinds of korean food.
If you like Korean food and are looking for a place to get it served and prepared traditionally, then this is the place for you!
The restaurant has a cozy place and the interior is tidy, clean, with wooden furniture giving it a modern Korean feel.
This is a really gorgeous place to come and eat Korean food! This restaurant was very big size.
The service was good, food came out quickly and tasted great. The staff provided all the side dishes and sauces needed with so many refills. I would definitely go again!
I decided to have the Galbitang soup (short rib soup), and Oppa decided to have Yukgaejang (spicy korean beef soup).
According to Wikipedia, Galbitang is a variety of guk, or Korean soup, made primarily from beef short ribs along with stewing beef, daikon, onions, and other ingredients. Yukgaejang is a spicy, soup-like Korean dish made from shredded beef with scallions and other ingredients, which are simmered together for a long time. It is a variety of gomguk, or thick soup, which was formerly served in Korean royal court cuisine. It is believed to be healthful and is popular due to its hot and spicy nature.
Melt in my mouth delicious chunks of Galbitang meat. The broth is fantastic, and the Galbitang was rich in flavor. The beef was very soft with a good amount of fat and it's also sliced in good sized pieces so I don't have to be all "hands on" when I eat. The galbitang was also impressive, with large meaty bones, noodles and a sweet and salty soy sauce based sauce to dip the meat in. I didn't even think I needed the sauce, because the meat was perfect by itself. I really enjoyed my Gabitang (갈비탕). The Galbitang has an interesting appearance. The flavors are not overwhelming and everything tastes fresh and awesome. The great part is I won't feel heavy after eating them!

Well, I must say that the the Yukgaejang it's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it. This came in a huge bowl. Yukgaejang looks really spicy but its pretty mild. Please don't let the red fool you, because It isn't as spicy as it looks! In fact, I didn't find it to be spicy at all. You'll find lots of mung bean sprouts in there along with noodles, green onion, strips of beef, and beaten eggs. Yukae Jang is a difficult dish to screw up. The shredded meat and noodles are yummy. Anyway, Oppa enjoyed His Yukgaejang (육개장).

  2. This place look very nice and modern. I miss lot of restaurant varieties in our country or at least the original names. If you go to mexican restaurant here you'll have everything written as: roasted chicken etc. and nothing like nachos and all those special names. That way I feel very 'food' uneducated ;)
