My Pepero's Day Story

Hello Everyone!!! How are you? I hope you are healthy and happy!!!
I am so glad to be here to share my story with you today! =)
I wanted to post something about this special day and now I have time to write summary of Pepero’s Day.
Last night, I spent a great time with my Oppa, because yesterday was Pepero's Day. So we decided to meet in Jongno. Jongno is historical place that you could meet the traditional Korean culture.

We had a great dinner at the BHC Chicken-Beer-Palate restaurant because we were craving for a BHC chicken. Hahaha.

The indoor atmosphere is very homey with all kinds of wood tables and chairs.

I'm a bit conflicted about BBQ Chicken. Their menu was a bit confusing, but after a while we decided on our orders. Oppa ordered from BHC Chicken for some of their specialty chicken.
Chicken with sweet and spicy sauce and the original chicken all with some sweet pickles radish are all you need for a well rounded meal. The chicken is great, they are really mouth watering and tasted good.
The sides are delicious as well.
I'm only giving 2 stars because I think the food is a bit pricey, and the food also takes a very long time.

Did you know that on top of Valentines day and White day, Korea has one more holiday for giving sweets to someone special?
Yesterday was November 11 called Pepero’s Day which celebrated from Korean couples.

But first of all, what is Pepero?
For those of you who don’t know, Pepero is a popular snack all around the world, but it’s probably most popular in Korea. Pepero Day in South Korea  is celebrated every year on November 11th, as the date represents four Pepero sticks. There is a very good chance that you will receive a couple of boxes of these long thin snacks on this day. The original purpose of the Pepero Day was to exchange peperos with each other in hopes of becoming taller and thinner. The current purpose is to exchange peperos to show affection for friends and loved ones.

What do people do on Pepero Day?
It’s actually akin to Valentine’s Day as couples exchange or give Pepero to their loved ones. Come to think of it, Lotte would make a fortune on this month. Actually there is nothing wrong with having fun on Pepero Day, and no one suggests otherwise. As long as respect, honour and remembrance are retained, there is no reason to feel guilty for buying a box of Pepero for someone you really love, or for eating your favourite snack, especially if Korea is close to your heart, and you have cherished memories of lovely boyfriend or girlfriend sweetly presenting you with your special Pepero gift.

What I got from Oppa?
Oppa gave me one box Pepero almond sticks, one box Pepero chocolate sticks and one box Ferrero chocolates. image

These gift boxes are great for gifts!
Ferrero Rocher is one of the most delicious and in demand chocolate. I am a chocolate addict and really love this chocolate.
Gorgeous chocolates, in a heart shaped gift box. The heart-shaped box was awesome and cute.

In the end I want to say, thanks for the great time, all the laugh and fun we had. Love it so much and you made a lovely day to make me even falling in love deeper with you!

Happy Pepero Day everyone!
