Hello guys!!! I admit, I have a weakness for cuteness and Hello Kitty is no exception! Hahaha.
I was walking around Hongdae with Oppa and my friends, and I looked around the corner and there was Hello Kitty Cafe! So, you can imagine what I thought when I found out that there was a Hello Kitty Cafe in Hongdae. I REALLY WANT TO GO THERE!!! Hahaha.
So, Today I will be exploring the Cute Hello Kitty (헬로키티카페) themed cafe located around Hongdae Station for you! Hello Kitty cafe in Hongdae is located right next to the main shopping street.
Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Shimizu and currently designed by Yuko Yamaguchi. She is depicted as an anthropomorphic white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow. The character's first appearance on an item, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974 and brought to the United States in 1976. The character is a staple of the kawaii segment of Japanese popular culture.
When you come in this cute cafe you will immediately encounter the small ordering area and display case with treats you can pick from.
The menu is in Korean and in English, so no worries if you can’t speak Korean!
They have a lot of choices for drinks, desserts, and sandwiches, including hotdog, cake, waffles and bread.
At the counter you can choose from several drinks, dessert and beverage.
Once you step inside the seat room, you will be overwhelmed by pink and the famous Hello Kitty icon.
What I ordered? Wait, and I will tell you later. =)
I have to wait for my order to be ready, and when it is done, the gadget will vibrate. So, I grab a seat and enjoy the cafe while wait for my order!
After you get your food or drinks, you can sit at first floor or second floor of the Hello Kitty cafe. So, I sat on the second floor! =)
I ordered a Chocolate Bread (초코브래드) and a Cafe Latte (카페라떼).
I bought the chocolate bread for 5,500 Won and the cafe latte for 3,800 Won.
Anyway, be warned! Hello Kitty coffees and chocolate bread are immensely sweet! Hahaha.
The chocolate bread it's not bad but it's not good either. It was soft and smooth, and too sweet.
If you order hot drinks obviously have the cute designs on top, such as: bow, Hello Kitty face, or Hello Kitty logo.
OH MY GOSH!!! I don’t even have a heart to drink the coffee. I found guilty of murder when i start drinking the coffee! I killed hello kitty! ㅠㅠ
The Cafe Latte doesn’t taste fantastic, but neither does it suck.
If you are feeling a little cramped, just look for the stairway by the main entrance and head on up. The second floor has a lot of cozy group seating and upstairs is much brighter and a bit more spacious.
From the wallpaper to the seats and the bathroom, everything is Hello Kitty and colored in pink.
There are many tables in the spacious second floor, and the pink couch donned with the Hello Kitty head makes for a great place to take a photo.
The pink walls and Hello Kitty decorations really cute!
The atmosphere is, well, pink!
The majority of visitors are mostly young women from all over the world that come to enjoy this adorable cafe where there is never too much of Hello Kitty!
Every inch of this cafe is decorated Hello Kitty style!
Girls, don't forget to check out the bathroom too, like the rest of the cafe, it is also Hello Kitty themed!
Let's see inside the toilet! Hahaha.
That’s the toilet door! Even the bathrooms are decorated out in Hello Kitty style!
OMG!!! The bathrooms at this cafe super cute!
Woman toilet sign!!!
Man toilet sign!!!
My new friends from Indonesia, they put their name on the stones. The stone provided by Hello Kitty Cafe.
It was really happy to just sit there and chit-chat with Oppa and my friends, because we enjoyed the Hello Kitty atmosphere together. Hahaha.
Unfortunately, it was getting late as we arrived there at 9:30pm and they were closing at 11:00pm and ask the customers to be out by 11:30pm! ㅠㅠ
Before we left, I took some my friends and Oppa pictures.
Now let me share with you nice picture I took of my Oppa and my friends! ^.^
In the end, I want to say the food and drink at Hello Kitty Cafe is on the pricey side and certainly not the best. Please don't expect too much from the Hello Kitty Cafe. Remember, this is not for great drink or tasty food, because they are selling the Hello Kitty concept, not exactly the food, and only experience!
If you are a big fan of Hello Kitty, stop by at the cafe would be like a dream come true! =)
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. See you next time!
